Dr. Dina Wieczynski
Forensic Psychologist
Dr. Dina Wieczynski is a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience working in multiple public sector, forensic settings. She was a full-time staff psychologist at Maryland’s maximum-security forensic hospital from 2000 to 2003 and has continued to conduct forensic evaluations on a part-time, contract basis for the hospital to the present. In this role, she has conducted evaluations regarding competency to stand trial, dangerousness, and criminal responsibility and has been qualified as an expert witness on criminal cases in several counties in Maryland.
Since 2003, Dr. Wieczynski has served as a clinical psychologist for the federal government. In this role, she has consulted on thousands of cases regarding individuals’ risk as it relates to eligibility for a security clearance, particularly cases involving substance abuse, threats to self and/or others, psychosis, and sexual misconduct. She also has conducted fitness for duty evaluations, served as a manager/supervisor, and is considered an expert in workplace violence, leading a multidisciplinary threat assessment team to address and mitigate risks.
Dr. Wieczynski holds a TS//SCI clearance and is a member of the American Psychology-Law Society and the Society for Military Psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in 2000.
