Dr. Kim Witczak

Forensic Psychologist

Dr. Kim Witczak has been providing psychological consultation to the Maryland criminal courts since 2007. She provides psychological opinions regarding competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, sentencing, violence risk, and sexual violence risk. She has also been qualified as an expert witness by the Maryland criminal courts. In 2018, she began applying her forensic psychology expertise to the court martial process for the Department of Defense.

She has also worked as a civilian psychologist for the federal government since 2009 and holds a TS//SCI security clearance. She conducts risk assessments of federal government civilian and contractor affiliates, addressing matters related to suitability for employment and security clearance adjudication. She has attended and presented at many national and international conferences addressing Insider Threat and in December 2014, earned the Insider Threat Program Manager certification through Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Witczak has also worked as a staff psychologist in a Maryland state forensic hospital. She taught assessment methodology as an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University in Maryland and saw clients in private practice. Dr. Witczak earned her doctoral degree from the American School of Professional Psychology in Arlington, Virginia in 2006.
